Each cage supports three 1" 80-Pin SCSI Hard Drives but only uses 2 Bays in your Server or Workstation chassis! Each unit easily connects to an SCSI RAID Controller to provide optimum fault-tolerant storage protection.
Ultra320 SCSI-to-Ultra320 SCSI Drive Cages are drive expansion bays. Designed for applications requiring high performance U320 SCSI drives, they accommodate three 1" 80-Pin SCSI drive trays within the space of two full height 5.25 inch drive bays. For improved reliability, Ultra320 SCSI-to-Ultra320 SCSI Drive Cages come with a built-in backplane to accommodate power and drive signal distribution. Ultra320 SCSI-to-Ultra320 SCSI Drive Cages are ideal for installation in servers, industrial PC and rack-mountable systems, places where drive capacity exceeds drive bay availability.
SCSI interfaces are designed for greater number of drives per device channel and longer cabling distances. The three drive trays in this compact form-factor make Ultra320 SCSI-to-Ultra320 SCSI Drive Cages the ultimate packing solution for full-featured storage solutions.
These Ultra320 SCSI-to-Ultra320 SCSI Drive Cages comes with two fans that create an environment to keep the drives properly cooled. The front panel door contains LED indicators to provide real-time drive activity and status plus individually lockable drive trays provide an extra layer of data security. Since the Ultra320 SCSI-to-Ultra320 SCSI Drive Cages come with two U320 SCSI Connectors on one backplane, the second U320 SCSI Connector can either by terminated or used to daisy chain each canister to additional canisters. Up to 4 Ultra320 SCSI-to-Ultra320 SCSI Drive Cages can be daisy-chained together for increased storage capacities!
