Featuring six 4Gb redundant Fibre Channel host and disk channels as well as a 4-lane SAS channel, SANgear 6002fsz Active-Active RAID controllers ensure superior performance, extreme reliability and exceptional data availability in today's most data-intensive environments. The modular design of the SANgear 6002fsz minimizes maintenance time and increases scalability in SAN environments with high storage capacities that demand superior performance.

Equipped with two fully redundant, hot-swappable 250 Watt power supply units, the uniquely designed 19" durable rack mountable enclosure comes with complete component redundancy and 4Gb Fibre Channel support that includes multi-host configurations. The SANgear 6002fsz features Lithium-Ion RAID Cache battery backup modules on each RAID controller that provide power to cache memory during a power failure.

The SANgear has been customized to perform in the most rigorous storage environments where data availability is an imperative. The SANgear 6002fsz's dual-redundant RAID controllers are perfect for applications that require 24x7 availability. With redundant hot-swappable power supplies, RAID controllers, cooling modules, IO node modules, battery backup units, and management interface modules, the SANgear has all of the necessary functionality to ensure the system will survive catastrophic events.

Based on an architecture designed for the most demanding applications, the SANgear 6002fsz is capable of very high levels of performance and is very flexible and robust. The 4Gbps Fibre Channels can be selected as host or drive channels. These channels are routed through an onboard hub to twelve (12) SFP sockets on hot-swappable I/O modules, independent from the controllers, to ensure unsurpassed data availability and the highest fault-tolerant operation even if one channel fails. Up to fourteen (14) FibreMaster 16204 SBODs can be cascaded from a single SANgear 6002fsz RAID controller for up to 89TB of storage.

The SANgear 6002fsz also features one SAS 4x Wide SFF-8470 port on each RAID controller which supports up to three (3) Spod 16s-HA JBOD subsystems for an additional 48TB of SATA-to-SAS storage. All together the SANgear 6002fsz can handle 272 disk drives across 17 enclosures.

The Java-based GUI manager provides easy-to-use interfaces, is rich in configuration options, and allows users to remotely manage their storage system over a network. Event monitor and notification processing center submodules provide system managers the freedom of real-time monitoring with a variety of notification methods.
