The DataStor M1 NAS is available in four basic models specifically customized for a variety of direct-attached storage subsystems: SCSI-to-SCSI, FC-to-FC, SATA-to-SCSI and SATA-to-FC. The M1 supports two Ultra320 SCSI ports or up to two 4Gb Fibre Channel ports for hybrid iSCSI storage solutions.

High performance hardware features include single or dual Xeon processors, up to 16GB buffered system memory with error correction, mirrored high-speed drives for the operating system, redundant power supplies, and dual copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity.

The DataStor M1 NAS-Engine is extremely versatile and supports both NAS and iSCSI protocols. It comes standard with 32 delta-based snapshots per LUN, IP trunking, and synchronous mirroring service. Another standard service is active-active failover which allows the DataStor M1 NAS-Engine to be clustered with a second DataStor M1 NAS-Engine for the finest in high-availability solutions. Fibre Channel multipathing service is standard on the M1 models for SATA-to-FC and FC-to-FC RAID subsystems.
