RAID Functionality

Enterprise 8320z RAID is equipped with a 3Gbps SATA-to-Ultra320 SCSI RAID controller to offer fault-tolerant data protection. It is 100% transparent to the host operating system and requires no custom drivers. It is a full featured data protection subsystem supporting RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6 and JBOD. RAID 6 can tolerate two simultaneous drive failures without downtime or data loss. It is the ideal storage solution for applications requiring high data throughput, availability, and flexibility in configuration.

Serial ATA Features

Serial ATA's point-to-point signaling provides full bandwidth to each connected device, hot plug capability, smaller connectors, standardized connector placement and layout, simpler cabling and longer cable lengths. Remote Management

The Enterprise 8320z RAID offers an extensive variety of monitoring and management tools for both local and remote management. The Enterprise 8320z RAID features an out-of-band Ethernet port for web browser-based remote management. An intuitive graphical user interface allows all configuration, event notification, and management to easily handled remotely. A SMTP Manager monitors all system events and automatically notifies the user of events. An SNMP Agent allows the user to remotely monitor events via LAN with no SNMP agent required. Local management tools include a menu-driven front panel display, a terminal serial port, audible alerts and real-time drive status indicators.
