The iSCSI protocol provides a well-defined standard that allows host servers to access storage resources over an existing IP network.

CONSOLIDATED STORAGE & PROVISIONING OVER IP/iSCSI
The IPBank simplifies and centralizes the management of storage by allowing Administrators to leverage an existing IP network to create a cost-effective SAN storage solution that can consolidate and manage legacy and state of the art storage devices. Utilizing unique Storage Service Enabler technology enables the IPBank to immediately incorporate existing disks into the SAN for trouble-free and rapid deployment.
HIGH AVAILABILITY
For continuous data availability, the IPBank can be deployed in an active-active failover/fail-back cluster configuration to ensure business continuity. And, to eliminate single point of failure (SPOF), it can be configured for maximum redundancy, with a dual network connection to the IP network, as well as a dual I/O channel to each storage device.
RAPID RECOVERY FROM DISK FAILURE
The IPBank L Series offers a unique delta-based Snapshot (TimeMark®) service designed to safeguard against "soft-errors" such as accidental deletions, file corruptions, and virus attacks. In addition to increasing backup frequency, and therefore reducing the risk window, restore can take place instantaneously via the TimeView® recovery facility.
RAPID RECOVERY FROM SITE FAILURE
In addition to provisioning disk(s) to hosts attached to an IP network, the IPBank offers a wide variety of advanced storage services including active-active clustering, synchronous mirroring, application aware snapshot agents, and IP-based replication, and the Hardware Provider Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) to reduce operating costs and ensure continuous data availability, reliability, and stability of an iSCSI infrastructure.
EFFICIENT, SIMPLIFIED DATA PROTECTION FOR STANDALONE HOSTS
Optional DiskSafe and FileSafe software can replicate a host’s internal storage (direct-attached storage) over an IP/iSCSI network directly to any iSCSI disk.

Base software includes storage pooling functionality and Java console for centralized access control, reporting, and diagnostics. Includes connectivity to SAN clients via the iSCSI protocol.
L Series SAK Enterprise Edition - consolidates the management of legacy and state of the art storage devices using the industry standard iSCSI protocol and leverages an existing IP network to create a cost-effective SAN storage solution. Application Aware Snapshot Agents – integrates with application hosts running Oracle®, Microsoft® SQL Server, Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS), Microsoft Exchange, or IBM® Lotus Notes/Domino® applications to ensure that delta changes are replicated with transactional integrity.
L Series Hardware Provider Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) - (for Microsoft Windows 2003) – creates instant, space efficient snapshots of VSS-enabled volumes with full point-in-time consistency.
L Series IP-based Delta Replication - replicates delta changes from the Primary Site to the Disaster Recovery Site over IP. The replication logic will invoke the Snapshot Agent automatically to ensure the replica’s data integrity. If the Primary site fails, the Administrator can bypass the database consistency check and rapidly mount the replica at the Disaster Recovery site with minimal downtime to ensure optimum availability.
