The FlexStor-NAS™ M1w-HA 16oz RAID NAS is a high-availability modularized NAS server that incorporates storage capacities of 4.8 to 32 TB with the latest NAS and 6Gb SAS RAID technology. The FlexStor-NAS M1w-HA 16oz RAID NAS is composed of a 2U NAS-Engine along with a 6Gb SAS-attached RAIS subsystem. This unit expands to 448TB with the addition of an additional RAID subsystem and multiple JBODs.
The RAID subsystem is equipped with dual redundant 6Gb SAS RAID controllers with transparent failover and failback functionality to ensure unprecedented data security. The RAID subsystem features 1GB RAID Cache with battery backup modules on each RAID controller. The FlexStor-NAS M1w-HA 16oz supports two RAID subsystems and each RAID subsystem supports up to six JBOD units for total of 224 drives with a maximum capacity of 448TB! FlexStor-NAS M1w-HA 16oz unit supports RAID Levels 0, 1, 0+1, 3, 5, 6, 10, 30, 50, 60 and JBOD.
The FlexStor-NAS M1w-HA is a high-performance 2U NAS-Engine featuring single or dual quad-core Xeon processors, dual 10/100/1000 copper gigabit Ethernet connectivity, up to 12GB RAM, hot-swappable redundant power supplies, and dual 6Gb SAS ports. The NAS operating system is mirrored on two hot-swappable 300GB 15,000RPM SAS disk drives with hardware RAID 1 to maintain maximum uptime.
Installation and setup are a breeze, allowing the FlexStor-NAS M1w-HA 16oz to be up and running in about 15 minutes after it is unpacked from the box.
