Snapshot

Snapshot is designed for IT professionals who want an efficient and easy-to-use method of recovering critical data quickly and is ideal for meeting recovery point objectives (RPO). StoneFly Snapshots are virtual, temporary, and perishable point-in-time images of an active live volume. Snapshot volumes are a replica of the original volume at a specific point in time, but are a fraction of the size of the live volume. These volumes appear to the host as standard read/write volumes, but using or modifying the volume has no impact on the primary volume. Snapshots can be created nearly instantaneously requiring less time to quiesce applications and less server overhead for backups. StoneFly Snapshots also integrate with host level applications including Volume Shadow Copy Services (VSS), SQL, Exchange and more.
